X Factor 2012 star Nicole Scherzinger has revealed how she's cried over Jahmene Dogulas this week.
The former Pussycat Doll star has put on a pretty feisty exterior on the show this year, but admitted that Jahmene's story got to her.
We learned last week how Jahmene's dad was imprisoned for assaulting his mum and raping another woman, while his brother died at the age of 19.
"I really put in the hours where my Boys are concerned. I care about them so much so it has been heart-breaking to read about Jahmene in the press," Nicole said today. "Saturday’s performance was undeniably emotional for me as his mentor and friend.
"You’d have to be heartless not to be moved by his touching performance and life-story. I’m in awe of his strength, courage and gracefulness."
Speaking to the official ITV1 X Factor website, Nicole continued: "I also couldn’t help but shed a few tears on Saturday. I have so much compassion for him. What a brave boy. He is somebody who turns all those negatives into positives."
And Nicole added she was hoping to try and set Jahmene up with a girl!
She told the website: "It’s been lovely to see Jahmene grow in confidence each week. He deserves all the happiness in the world. After everything he’s been though, it would be wonderful to see him meet a nice girl."
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday night with a spooky Halloween themed episode as the remaining ten contestants perform live once again.
The latest results show follows on Sunday when one more act will be given the boot.
