Cher and The Killers are being lined up for The X Factor 2012 final in December, it's been claimed.
X Factor boss Simon Cowell hopes that the big name stars will be able to boost the show's ratings against Strictly Come Dancing.
According to the Daily Mirror, Simon invited Cher onto the show after the 66-year-old revealed how taken she was by Ella Henderson's cover of her song Believe.
And the newspaper reports that rock group The Killers will perform a "mini concert" during the final, similar to Coldplay last year.
A source told the newspaper today: “It’s an X Factor tradition to get great names for the final and this year Simon was determined to pull out all the stops.
“The fans won’t be disappointed. Cher is a legend and The Killers are massive. Everyone’s thrilled. There’s something for all musical tastes.”
It was previously reported that Beyonce was also being lined up for the final, with claims that she could duet with Ella Henderson if the teenager made it to the last live show.
This year will see the final move from London for the first time in the show's history.
Judges, Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa and Louis Walsh plus host Dermot O'Leary and the finalists will head to Manchester for the exciting climax to the series when The X Factor Winner 2012 will be crowned.
X Factor Judge, Louis Walsh said: “Our Live Final is going to be another major event - so The X Factor 2012 has everything! I believe it’s going to be our best series yet.”
For now, The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday night with a spooky Halloween themed episode as the remaining ten contestants perform live once again.
The latest results show follows on Sunday when one more act will be given the boot.
