X Factor 2012: Voting leak 'could be true' says Caroline Flack

Chris Maloney (X Factor 2012)

Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack has said that apparent leaked X Factor voting percentages could be real.

It was previously reported that in leaked X Factor voting percentages that Chris Maloney has topped the public vote.

In Week 1, which saw Chris voted back into the competition as the wild card act, he apparently shot to the top of the voting results with figures double that of second placed Jahmene Douglas.

It was also claimed that Week 2 saw Chris scoop a whopping 25% of the vote between the final 12 acts, 10% more than second placed Jahmene.

Speaking on This Morning about the reports, Caroline said: "I don't know if those rumours are true. Only a handful of people know the results, not even the judges. We only know after the final.

"Maybe they are right, but maybe [Chris] isn't topping the vote. He's not been in the bottom two so far so clearly he's popular."

Chatting to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Caroline also spoke about judge Gary Barlow and his grumpiness.

She said: "I think you need it, you need someone on it who's going to be honest."

She explained: “I think with Gary he doesn’t like to see someone change. They do these themes every week and rather than adjust the theme around the person, you adjust the person around the theme.”

The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday night with a spooky Halloween themed episode as the remaining ten contestants perform live once again.

The latest results show follows on Sunday when one more act will be given the boot.
