Union J star George Shelly was bullied for being FAT at school, he has revealed.
The 19-year-old has explained how he even ended up breaking his wrist after getting involved in fights in the playground.
The teenager joined Union J at judges' houses last month, after failing to make it through in the boys category as a solo star.
Recalling his school days, George told the Daily Star Sunday this weekend: “I was 12 stone and really short. All the other boys loved football and I just wanted to play my guitar.
“I was always the last one picked because no one wanted the fatty who couldn’t run."
He continued: “The worst thing that happened was we were playing football and one of the kids purposefully kicked the ball as hard as they could right at me.
“I put my hands up to protect my face and ended up breaking my wrist.”
Speaking to the tabloid, George insisted once again that he was single, and not dating fellow X Factor finalist Ella Henderson.
And George also hit out at comparisons with One Direction's Harry Styles, laughing about them when he met the singer during the live shows last month.
He told the newspaper today: “I’m not seeing Ella. We are just really close friends. We are each other’s agony aunts but nothing more.
“As for Harry, we met and neither of us think we look like the other one.”
