X Factor star Rylan Clark has said he wants to sing a serious song on the show.
Speaking to press backstage at Thursday's soundcheck, Rylan said: “I’d love to do a serious song, I really would, but I’ve been doing this for years. I’ve been in boy bands in Spain, and we’ve done loads of serious songs together.”
The 23-year-old from Essex explained: “I’m fully aware of my ability but I love singing, and I’ve sung for a long while.
“I don’t think I’ve really shown my serious side yet, except briefly at Judges’ Houses but it was fifty degree heat out there in Dubai, and I was pissed every night then as well."
Asked about why he's so far performed... less serious tunes, Rylan claimed: "I thought I was going home so I thought I might as well enjoy it while it lasted.”
So will he tone it down tonight? We doubt it!
