Chris Maloney has been tipped to leave The X Factor 2012 this weekend.
Betfair makes Liverpool singer Chris the 3-1 favourite to get the axe, with the wildcard winner leading the betting having failed to impress with his cheesy performances.
However it follows the news yesterday that Chris is topping the X Factor 2012 voting results, with the Daily Star reporting that Chris is leading the pack by a "large margin".
A source told the tabloid: “Liverpool has clearly come out in force to back their man because we’re not sure who else is."
Meanwhile District3, who were in the bottom two last time out, are the second favourites to go at 7-2, while duo MK1 are third in the betting at 9-2.
There are signs that the public are warming to camp crooner Rylan Clark. Having been tipped for the axe each week since the live shows began, the Essex boy now finds himself out at 13-2 to leave the competition.
Odds of 7-1 suggest that Kye Sones has done enough to make it through to week four of the singing contest, with Lucy Spraggan and Jade Ellis available at 10-1 and 19-1 respectively. At 31-1 boy band Union J appear safe to make the next round, as does 64-1 shot James Arthur
Betfair’s Alex Bake said: “Chris has taken a bit of a pounding from the judges these past two weeks. Nicole said he was cheesy and he just can’t escape that cabaret singer tag. Despite a huge following in his home city, it looks like curtains for Chris on Sunday.”
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV1.
This weekend will see the remaining eleven finalists singing tracks with a Club Classics theme, while JLS and Labrinth will guest star on Sunday night's third live results show.
