X Factor 2012: One Direction aren't threatened by Union J and District3!

Union J (X Factor 2012)

One Direction have backed X Factor 2012 groups Union J and District3, insisting that they aren't threatened!

Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne said that both of this year's boy bands were "really great".

Harry told heatworld this week: "The boy bands are really good.

"I think its good that there are two boybands because a lot of the time I don’t really think they want to put two of them through. I think they are both really great and talented.”

And bandmate Louis Tomlinson added after meeting the finalists backstage: “They are such nice guys as well.”

One Direction appeared on the X Factor earlier this year as they joined Dermot O'Leary on stage during the first live show.

Niall Horan recalled: “It was weird watching it from our side now because when we walked out those doors for the first time it was the most nerve-wracking thing ever.”

And Louis added: “I couldn’t even watch it properly because I felt on the edge the whole time.”
