XFactor 2012: Melanie Masson flattered by Tulisa's 'MILF' comment

Melanie Masson (X Factor 2012)

Eliminated X Factor hopeful Melanie Masson has confessed she was flattered to be labelled a MILF by Tulisa on the show.

X Factor host Dermot O’Leary had to apologise to viewers during the weekend's second live performance for Tulisa’s language.

The N-Dubz star branded Melanie Masson a “MILF” after her performance of Never Tear Us Apart by Paloma Faith on Saturday night.

Tulisa commented: “From fairy lady to diva you are back in full MILF mode!

“Half way through I was a bit worried about the song choice but then you pulled it straight back with those power notes.”

Gary Barlow, Melanie’s mentor, added: “The oldest contestant in the competition you sang your heart out tonight. What a voice! Undeniable! What a performance, congratulations.”

Dermot told viewers: “Just need to say sorry for any offence caused by Tulisa’s language, naughty girl, but that’s why we love her!”

However show bosses have since admitted that the apology was overzealous, with the comments being made well after the 9PM watershed.

Speaking to us earlier today, Melanie said: "I loved it, I loved it. I took it was a total compliment and i was very flattered. I was quite happy to accept that from her so I say thank you!"
