Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh's X Factor feuds are turning viewers off, it's been claimed.
Despite all of last week's drama, with Gary thinking about quitting and the pair not talking, Saturday's latest performance show was down on the opening episode.
Gary and Louis shook hands at the top of the live episode, but the pair were quickly back to bickering again, with Louis claiming Gary was deaf.
And Gary hit out at Louis' "non comments" to the contestants, after saying Kye Sones was "missing something."
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Gary has made it clear he doesn’t think Louis is as relevant as some of the other judges.
“There is a worry that things could get out of hand. The tension backstage is becoming too much. Cowell is close to Louis and could tell him to sort things out with Gary.”
The insider added to the tabloid: “The fact ratings are actually down after all the publicity the row drew shows a lot of people weren’t happy. The fear is that they can’t be won back.”
Around 9 million viewers watched Saturday's latest show, down around two million on last year's equivilent episode.
The show was beaten by just under a million viewers by Strictly Come Dancing, the biggest gap between the two shows since 2006.
The X Factor 2012 continues next Saturday and Sunday night on ITV1.
This weekend will see the remaining eleven finalists singing tracks with a Club Classics theme.
