X Factor 2012: Girls category the strongest, says Jade Ellis

Jade Ellis (X Factor 2012)

X Factor 2012 hopeful Jade Ellis has said she reckons the girls category is the toughest one this year.

The 25-year-old has been seen as somewhat of an underdog, with Ella Henderson and Lucy Spraggan both favourites to win the show.

Gary Barlow raved after Jade's performance of Love is a Losing Game by Amy Winehouse yesterday: "Jade, an amazing performance, simple, stylish, sexy, you look amazing. Your vocals are amazing. I am such a big fan of yours."

Speaking on the Xtra Factor, Jade said: "I think it's the hardest category, I thin Tulisa has a really good team now.

"I don't feel overshadowed, I try not to focus on that and try to concentrate on my songs."

All three of Tulisa's girls did well on the live shows last night, with Lucy saying: "I was really, really pleased with how it went. I didn't want to go out and do the sad thing, I was happy."

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Ella revealed that she was the MUM of the group, despite Jade having a six year old daughter!

Young Ella told Xtra Factor's Caroline Flack and Olly Murs: "It's really weird, out of us three, I look after everyone. I'm the most responsible."

The X Factor 2012 continues tonight at 8:00PM on ITV1 with the latest results show.

Last night saw the remaining contestants singing tracks with a love and heartbreak theme before the public voted once again.

Tonight's show will see the second elimination of the series, as well as performances from US country star Taylor Swift and former X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson.
