X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has insisted that she's not a one trick pony.
The 20-year-old impressed the X Factor judges once again at the weekend with her cover of Gold Digger by Kayne West.
Nicole Scherzinger said: “I was afraid but you swagged it out and you made it your own.”
And Louis Walsh added: “You a trooper to get up there, what a confident performance that was.”
But some viewers have claimed that Lucy's tracks and covers are all very samey, with comparisons to Kate Nash and musical comic Victoria Wood.
According to Star magazine however, Lucy was "livid" after hearing such comments.
A supposed source explained: "She overheard that people have been saying she's not a proper singer because she speaks a lot of her songs .
"She was livid. Apparently, people are saying she's not diverse enough to win the show - and she's determined to prove her doubters wrong.
"After all, shes written loads of songs herself. it's really shaken her."
However it seems that Lucy's mentor Tulisa has got her back.
The 20-year-old revealed this week: "I got a text from Tulisa saying that I could dye myself blue and go on stage as a smurf, if that's what I want.
"As long as I don't change my music. I've got her on my side and she wouldn't let anyone change me."
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV1.
This weekend will see the remaining eleven finalists singing tracks with a Club Classics theme, which is sure to put Lucy to the test.
