Rylan Clark has spoken about Sunday's X Factor drama for the first time, saying he doesn't want to upset Gary Barlow!
Rylan found himself on the rough end of some less than positive comments from the Take That star after the performances on Saturday night, and things got worse on Sunday night's results show.
Gary stormed off the stage when the bottom two between Rylan and Carolynne Poole went to deadlock, seeing Carolyne leave the competition.
"I was gutted to be in the bottom two although I was expecting it," Rylan admitted this week. "It was horrible being in it with Carolynne as she was one of my best mates in the show; we were always hanging out together so I didn’t want her to go.
"I messed up my song on Sunday night even though I had practiced it a million times! I have been working even harder this week and I am going to give it my best shot. I am so grateful to the public for the votes last week; I hope they vote for me again this week."
Speaking to the official ITV1 X Factor website, Rylan continued: "I have absolute respect for Gary as a mentor and as a musician. I really want to win him over - I don’t want there to be a war between us.
"I reckon by the end of the series we’ll be bessie mates –move over Robbie, I am taking your place!"
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday night on ITV1, with the results show following on Sunday night with performances from Taylor Swift and Rebecca Ferguson.
