Cheryl Cole has branded new X Factor UK judge Nicole Scherzinger 'weird, odd and embarrassing' in her new book.
Former X Factor UK and USA judge Cheryl releases her autobiography, My Story, tomorrow, but some copies have already been put on sale.
In an extract from the book, Cheryl: My Story, Cheryl recalls meeting Nicole for the first time back in 2010.
"The first time I met Nicole was when she was performing on The X Factor in London," Cheryl wrote. "'Oh my God, Cheryl! You're just as pretty in real life! I heard your song on the radio!' she had gushed. It was really embarrassing.
"Then she started singing Promise This to me, and I swear to God the woman sang the whole song, to my face. It was just so awkward, and every time I stood next to her she started singing it again."
Cheryl continues: "I thought how that would be like me going up to Britney and singing the whole of Baby, One More Time in her face. Can you imagine how weird that would be?"
Cheryl and Nicole reunited on the USA version of the show, where Nicole originally started out as host.
Speaking of meeting Nicole on the set of the US show, Cheryl revealed: "Nicole was singing and dancing to her own songs, and I found that a bit crazy and odd."
In the book, Cheryl also claims that Nicole "pitched" for her job but said she felt "sorry" for the former Pussycat Doll star due to the way she was subsequently treated by Simon Cowell
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday night on ITV1, with the results show following on Sunday night with performances from Taylor Swift and Rebecca Ferguson.
