X Factor 2012: Union J's George Shelley 'feeling lonely' in the group

Union J (X Factor 2012)

Union J's George Shelley is said to be "lonely" after still getting used to being in a group.

The X Factor judges formed the four piece by combining trio Triple J with George, after both acts failed to make it through to the judges' houses.

Now magazine quote George as admitting: "I'm so lonely - the other boys know each other really well and I still feel like an outsider."

He added: "I only had four days to practice with them at before judges' houses."

The group meanwhile confessed the pressure was on them ahead of last weekend's first live show: "We've had to work extra hard over the past few weeks to get to know each other personally and on a vocal level."

And the boys seemed to struggle, with the judges branding their performance of Queen's Don't Stop Me Now as below par.

Fortunately thanks to a huge online fanbase, the group managed to avoid elimination, and will continue in the competition.

Let's hope this week they'll actually get a decent track from their mentor.

The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday night on ITV1, with the results show following on Sunday night with performances from Taylor Swift and Rebecca Ferguson.
