Cheryl Cole reportedly hated Simon Cowell after he dumped her from The X Factor USA last year.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Girls Aloud star fell out big time with the music mogul over his "betrayal".
Cheryl joined The X Factor USA last April, but was axed within weeks of the auditions starting and replaced by Nicole Scherzinger, who was also later fired.
Cheryl is quoted as telling friends (but not every good friends who have since told everyone what she said): “Hatred is a horrible word. Sadly it is exactly how I felt when Simon betrayed me on the US X Factor.
“Simon and I had grown close since working together in the UK and I thought of him as a true friend. He was my rock when I split from Ashley. But the day I learned I was being axed from the show was one of the worst days of my life. I lost my respect for Simon. And our rock solid friendship shattered into a million pieces.
“I hated him for losing faith in me, for not giving me a chance after everything we had been through. He knew my ability as a judge here in the UK yet he failed to stand by me.”
Her supposed friend added to the newspaper today: “She believed he was a good friend, a mentor, someone to look out for her – and yet, he easily turned his back on her when the going got a little tough.”
However Simon Cowell's friends have also been spilling quotes, with them claiming Simon hit back: “All I’ve ever wanted to do was help her – she’s always made mistakes surrounding herself with the wrong people.”
The news preludes Cheryl’s book My Story, which hits bookstores on Thursday.
