X Factor 2012: Ella Henderson overwhelmed by first live show

Ella Henderson (X Factor 2012)

X Factor 2012 star Ella Henderson has said she's been left overwhelmed by the reaction to her first performance on the live shows.

Ella had a standing ovation from three of the judges after her amazing cover of Take That's Rule The World.

"I absolutely loved every minute," she said. "I've been nervous about singing Gary's song all week. It would be horrible for him to say I've ruined it."

Fortunately Gary loved the cover, even admitting he hated that she had performed it better than him!

Also loving the live experience was Lucy Spraggan, who said: "It was pretty fanatic, I loved it loads. I got really worried about it at first, but when I got out there I was just going to show people how I'm feeling."

She added to Olly Murs and Caroline Flack on the Xtra Factor: "I think Ella is my main rival, but she's one of the most lovely people in the world."

Meanwhile, after her first live performance, Jade Ellis said: "To be honest, I was quite upset that Amy didn't get the wild card and I thought I'd use that emotion in the song, and I think that it helped."

The X Factor 2012 live shows continue tonight on ITV1 at 8PM with the first results show, featuring performances from Ne-Yo and Leona Lewis.
