Former X Factor 2012 hopeful Jake Quickenden has vowed never to give up on his dream.
The singer was ditched at judges' houses by Nicole Scherzinger, but the 24-year-old life guard declared he wouldn't have a problem with returning next year.
"I never expected to get as far as I did," Jake said. "I do wish I had made it through to the live shows but I am proud of myself for how far I came.
"I never thought I had made it through because it was such a strong category and everyone was so good."
Speaking to the Scunthorpe Telegraph, Joke continued: "The show has given me such a great platform to start a career I am really passionate about.
"I have kept in contact with all the boys and contestant Lucy Spraggan.
"I am backing Ella Henderson, James Arthur or Lucy to win the show, as I think these three are the most talented and obviously I would like to see Adam Burridge (a wild card contestant) do well.
"If I do not make it in the music industry before next year, I will audition again and prove them wrong.
"I will just see how it goes."
The X Factor continues on Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV1.
