X Factor 2012 judge Nicole Scherzinger has insisted she's happy with her boys.
Despite previously admitting she had wanted to mentor the girls, the former Pussycat Doll star said today she was pleased with how strong her finalists are.
Nicole appeared on ITV1's Daybreak and This Morning with her final three, Rylan Clark, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur.
“I love the boys and I believe in each one of them," she said. "I am so happy. I have a great category, a really strong category.”
She continued: “I think my job is to bring the best out of each one of them, individually as artists and to make sure I am there to help support them, nurture them and make sure that they feel amazing every week, so that they are able to just be free and do what they really love, as opposed to having the jitters and worrying too much about the competition.”
Nicole has also been on hand to support her acts, defending Rylan this morning: “I’m really proud of how he’s handling everything on Twitter, because there are some people being bullies out there and everyone knows it doesn’t feel good to be bullied.”
And Nicole revealed she had been giving Jahmene some secret tips in make up about how to cope with nerves.
The experienced US singer said: “I gave you a top tip in make-up as well, I told him to wiggle his toes in his shoes when he’s singing because it takes your mind off being nervous.
“You stand there, and you wiggle your toes and you don’t think about being nervous. If your performance goes well on Saturday then I’ll take the credit for it. If it’s rubbish, it’s not my fault.”
She joked: “Everyone’s going to be looking at his toes now.”
