X Factor 2012: Tulisa tells finalists to ignore Twitter hate

Tulisa (The X Factor 2012)

X Factor 2012 judge Tulisa has told her acts to ignore what's being said on Twitter, after being bombarded with hate herself.

The N-Dubz star said this week if she was to believe what was written about her she'd never leave the house!

She said: “According to what people write about me on Twitter – Oh my God I must be the most hated woman in Britain.

“But of all the abusive messages I get on a daily basis, no-one comes up to me in person and says anything other than: ‘Hi, nice to meet you and can I have a picture?’”

She explained that her advice to her finalists Ella Henderson, Lucy Spraggan and Jade Ellis was: “Twitter Schmitter. Let it go over your head. You find Twitter is so often far away from what the general public actually think.

“People do it just for the sake of doing it. Someone will sit down and write the most horrendous abusive message and actually he couldn’t care less.

“Sometimes they are just 12-year-olds venting what they think is funny.”
