X Factor 2012: Union J lead social media buzz ahead of live shows

Union J (X Factor 2012)

X Factor group Union J seem to have the most online support going into the live shows this weekend.

The group is made up of Triple J – Jaymi Hensley, JJ Hamblet, and Josh Cuthbert – and George Shelley – who were put together at judges’ houses as a four piece.

In data collected by the Creation Agency, the group have become the most talked about act in the past week with over 30% of mentions about them.

However throughout the whole series so far, their rivals GMD3 have been the most talked about act with 23% of mentions over the likes of Twitter, Facebook and blogs such as ours.

Naturally, GMD3 are therefore the most talked about act in the group category.

In the Overs and Kye claims the top spot ahead of Carolynne Poole, although all three of the group are being talked about a lot.

In the girls category, Lucy Spraggan and Ella Henderson, favourite to win with the bookies, dominate social chat, while poor Jade Ellis lingers with notably fewer mentions.

In the the boys group it's no surprise to hear that it's Rylan Clark that has got everyone talking, with Jahmene Douglas being overlooked into the trio.

Stats fans will no doubt want to check out the creation agency blog post with plenty more figures and info graphics available.
