X Factor 2012 finalists given booze ban by bosses

The X Factor 2012 finalists have been given a booze ban by show bosses ahead of the first live show.

Producers have removed costly mini bars from the group's £500 a night hotel rooms in a bid to get them to focus, and stop causing trouble.

It was reported that Times Red's drunken antics earlier this week had already seen them warned about their behaviour.

"The contestants have been spoiled with their accommodation and are being waited on hand and foot — but bosses can’t foot the bar bill, especially if they’re going to sink the amount of booze they’re clearly capable of," a source told the newspaper.

The supposed insider added: “The hotel is getting a lot of publicity out of this but they won’t have acts running riot.”

The X Factor 2012 live shows start this Saturday night on ITV1.
