Nicole Scherzinger has defended putting Ryan Clark through to the X Factor 2012 live shows.
We saw Nicole reveal her choices for the final three boys last night, with Rylan, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur all making it through to the final rounds.
But it saw other viewer favourites such as Adam Burridge and Jake Quickenden miss out on a spot.
Defending her choices, Nicole told Caroline Flack on this weekend's Xtra Factor: "He's done so much work, he's improved so much."
"Someone who is willing to work that hard, it means that much to them, you know you're going to get everything out of them."
Rylan's tearful reaction to making the live shows will probably go down as one of the highlights of this series and X Factor history, and even Nicole couldn't help but joke: "I took a break and had a dinner - he was still crying. I rode a camel, came back - and he was still crying."
Meanwhile Rylan himself revealed he would be shocked if there were no complaints to Ofcom over the performances he has planned.
He told Caroline Flack on the ITV2 spin-off show last night: "Saturday nights won't be the same. If there aren't Ofcom complaints, I haven't done my job right."
The X Factor 2012 live shows start on Saturday night.
