X Factor 2012: Jake Quickenden backs Adam Burridge for wild card spot

Jake Quickenden (X Factor 2012)

Jake Quickenden has backed Adam Burridge to be voted as the X Factor 2012 wild card.

We saw Jake and Adam both miss out on a spot in the live shows last night, as Nicole Scherzigner chose her final three boys.

But Adam has been given a second chance, with one of himself, Amy from the girls, Chris from the overs or Times Red from the groups joining the current X Factor final 12.

A public vote is open this week and will see the one of the four voted into the live shows this Saturday night.

23-year-old Jake was quick to offer is backing, with the hunky lifeguard tweeting his fans: "Vote my best mate @Adam_Burridge he's sick and if am not in couldn't pick a better lad to be in!!"

And despite not making it into the live shows - or Nicole's wild card spot - Jake insisted he was still "buzzing" from the support of his followers.

He added: "Buzzing my t**s off how much support am receiving its amazing and I am so thankful so for like the 10 th time tonight I wanna say thanks! X"

The X Factor 2012 live shows start this Saturday on ITV1.
