It's Judge's Houses and time for us to globe trot around the world without even having to leave our sofas. So where are we off to...
Louis gave us the style this year, Las Vegas, Tuilsa gave us the class in St Lucia and the sophistication came from Nicole in Dubai. Gary, being the great English gentleman that he is, took us to Downton Abbey, I mean Northamptonshire.
So, as the contestants pack their sun tan cream and passports, (sorry overs), this is where the competition gets really serious, the audition of all auditions and one that will change lives, forever.
On with the show. Mentor Louis, "you remind of a young" Walsh, with guest helper Sharon Osbourne got the singing underway from the top of beautiful Las Vegas.
From the seven group acts, those that stood out were MK1, Union J, Times Red and GMD3. I also agree with Sharon, that the latter need a name change. If I had to pick a favourite from the groups, it would be Union J. I think they are this years dark horse.
Next up in Dubai were the boys with their mentor Nicole Scherzinger and guest Ne-Yo. James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas should sail through after effortless vocals but the last place really is up for grabs. I do think Rylan "Star Wars costume" Clark will just sneak it over Jake Quickenden.
Last years winning judge Tulisa, was joined by Tinie Tempah.
Jade Ellis and Amy Mottram did all they could to persuade Tulisa to put them through, but the clear front runner is Ella Henderson. At this moment in time, I would say she is the favourite for the whole show. Brilliant. Lucy Spraggan's progression on the other hand is in doubt after tonight's show, BUT I do think she will scrape through to the live shows due to her uniqueness and undenying talent.
Last up in Northamptonshire were the, "over not outs" with mentor King Gary, and the return of the Queen of the X Factor, Cheryl Cole.
Midas act, Carolynne Poole was brilliant, so good in fact that a top record executive text me to say that, "she was brilliant and would shift bucket loads of albums" High praise indeed. Kye Soanes hit a few dodgy notes but I expect him and Melanie Masson to progress with Christopher Maloney just missing out.
By now we will all have our favourites, but will yours progress. In less than 24 hours we will find out.
