Nicole Scherzinger won't be giving up her job on The X Factor UK easily, it's been claimed.
There's been reports that Simon Cowell is already hoping to replace Nicole with Mel B, but Nicole's not impressed.
The former Pussycat Doll singer is quoted as saying: "She'll have to fight for my job"
A source added to Star magazine this week: "Nicole thinks Mel B should back off. There's no way she's giving up the role without a fight.
"Nicole knows how cut throat X Factor can be. But she has proven track record and won't let anyone forget she helped created one of the show's most successful acts, One Direction."
The supposed insider added: "Nicole is more qualified to be a judge. She's been a huge global girl group and is a successful solo artist. She's a song writer and producer too - which means that she's ideally placed to help contestants in a positive way."
Speaking on Daybreak earlier today, Nicole said she was enjoying the UK show a lot more than her time on the US version last year.
She said: "It’s a lot more chilled here than in the US. I’m having a lot of fun and the executive producers are off their rockers so it’s always like 'Woo hoo!'"
A spokesperson for The X Factor commented: "We've only just started this year's series, and no one is even thinking about next year.
"Nicole is a great addition tot he UK panel and we are looking forward to having her as a full time judge."
