X Factor 2012 judge Tulisa has said she wants to see Joseph Whelan back on the show.
The 26-year-old was booted out by the judges on Sunday's show after he failed to make the final six boys at judges' houses.
It wasn't a decision that went down well with viewers, with over 220,000 fans having signed a Facebook page titled 'Get Joseph Whelan back onto the X Factor' since the weekend.
Speaking to The Huffington Post UK, Tulisa backed the campaign to bring him back.
"All of the judges have different opinions. Sometimes it's not unanimous and everyone is making different decisions," she explained. "From the get go I wanted him in the competition.
"I think he's gorgeous but I was battled with on that one. I am actually a Joseph fan so 'hey, bring back Joseph.'"
Tulisa admitted: "I have no idea what the likelihood of that happening is, but I can say everyone wants a bit of eye candy every year and a nice male figure."
Joseph said earlier today that he would happily return to the show if invited.
"I’d love it and I’d be up for it,” Joseph said. “If they offered me a wildcard I’d snap it up right away.
“And if it happened I’d perform better than ever – I’d just absolutely smash it at the live shows.”
He also insisted that comments made earlier this week about thinking the show was a ‘fix’ had been taken out of context.
Joseph clarified: “I don’t think the show is fixed but I don’t think they’re looking for singers – they’re looking for celebrities.”
The X Factor 2012 continues this weekend with the judges' houses stage as the six remaining boys are whittled down to just three.
The live shows will kick off next month on Saturday and Sunday on ITV1.
