X Factor 2012: Mitsotu thank show for giving them their big break

X Factor trio Mitsotu have said that the show has provided them with their big break.

The group, formed of James Collins, Jimmy Essex and Holly Cooper, missed out a spot in the live shows of [cat]Britain's Got Talent[/cat] 2012 earlier this year.

Auditioning for The X Factor soon after, the group wowed at their auditions and at bootcamp to make it through to judges' houses.

"Doing The X Factor was definitely not the route we were going to take but we have been together as a band for two years and we are always having doors closed so we need someone to open one for us," James explained.

Speaking to his local newspaper, the Harrow Observer, he explained: "We all work really hard and we just needed an opportunity and a break. We all thought that The X Factor would do that for us."

He added: "It is great to have got through to the judge's houses, I am so ecstatic.

"We are feeling so positive about the whole thing and so far the journey has been an amazing experience."We were all surprised when we got Louis, because he normally gets the 'Overs-twentysomethings' category but he is such a sweet dude, and he knows his stuff."

The X Factor 2012 judges' houses air this weekend on Saturday and Sunday on ITV1.
