Joseph Whelan was one of the more shocking exits during the weekend's X Factor, and many fans have been left frustrated.
The 26-year-old was seen missing out on bootcamp at the weekend, telling the cameras: "I’m letting my son down, I’ve let everyone down”
Many viewers have hit out at the decision by the judges, with some annoyed that Rylan Clark made the final six boys over Joseph.
"Such a bad judgement call Judges letting Joseph Whelan go.He should have gone through he has a fantastic voice and can really sing not like some you chose. shame on you!" Maureen commented on our website.
Chris added: "I can think of at least three, maybe four guys who Joseph should have beaten without even breaking a sweat. Idiotic decision."
Now fans have flocked to a Facebook page to help get Joseph back.
As of writing, a whopping 175,000 people have signed the campaign to get the rocker back onto the show, a number which only seems to be increasing less than 24 hours after the show aired.
X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger defended the selection of Rylan ahead of Joseph yesterday.
However Nicole Caroline Flack on the Xtra Factor: “Rylan my love! I like Rylan. To me is he is all spice and sparkles.
“We need to find some diva empowering anthems for him.
“He would definitely have his own audience.”
Also defending Rylan was Jake Quickenden, who has also made the boys’ judges’ houses.
He told us: “I think if people are judging it on talent… he does deserve to be there anyway, the judges put him trough so they must see something there.”
