X Factor 2012: New group Union J formed with George Shelley and Triple J!

Union J (X Factor 2012)

A new group has been formed at The X Factor 2012 judges houses, it has been revealed.

The new foursome [tag]Union J[/tag] is made up of Triple J and rejected soloist [tag]George Shelley[/tag].

That'd be George with a G...

18-year-old George joins JJ Hamblett, 23, Josh Cuthbert, 19, and Jaymi Hensley, 22 in the newly formed group.

Jaymi and Josh formed the band after attending the Silvia Young school together.

Initially rejected for judges' houses, Triple J got lucky after Rough Copy had to quit the competition, allowing them to go through to the Final 24.

And in another twist, the are joined by George Shelley in the next round, although we're not too sure how that all went about.

The boys have already got quite a big online fanbase who were rather annoyed last night when they missed out on judges' houses.

Can they become the next One Direction? Well Josh wasn't so keen to get on the wrong side of 1D's huge fanbase!

Josh said: “It's quite a statement to say we're like One Direction!

"They are so huge, and doing so well. To have half their success, that would be amazing.”

Will the four piece succeed? We'll find out this weekend when The X Factor 2012 returns, and the live show finalists are revealed!
