Hayley Evetts has said that The X Factor 201 bootcmp pushed her to the brink.
Hayley previously appeared on early noughties reality telly show Pop Idol making the live shows and finishing behind Will Young back in 2001.
However speaking to the Daily Star Sunday today, Hayley confessed she was left shocked by how different the X Factor was.
The 36-year-old said: “I would say X Factor was 100 times harder than Idol and that’s without Simon. It was a hard, hard slog.
“It’s on a much bigger scale and the stress levels are huge."
She added: “Everybody was sleep-deprived, which made it a lot worse. I found it hard and cried a lot.”
Hayley moved into musical theatre after Pop Idol, with roles in Grease and Thriller Live, but a back injury stopped her performing on stage.
Now back and hoping The X Factor will resurrect her music career, Hayley said: “It stopped me doing what I loved to do."
We'll find out tonight if Hayley makes The X Factor 2012 final 24!
The final bootcamp episodes at 7:30PM on ITV1.
