X Factor 2012: Jade Ellis forgets her lyrics to 'I'm Yours'

Jade Ellis (X Factor 2012)

Jade Ellis forgets her lines during her final bootcamp performance on The X Factor 2012 tonight

Speaking before going on stage, Jade says: "Being at bootcamp is absolutely amazing. It’s hard to believe that you’re still here when so many talented people are not."

She admits before singing" "I’m a little bit unsure about the lyrics but I’m sure it will be fine when I’m up there."

The mum of one continues: "I have a daughter and she’s six years old, it’s a bit hard her not being here. I’ve never been away from her so it’s quite difficult. I just want to give her a cuddle. The competition itself does mean a lot to me. I think having my daughter and knowing I’m a good mum has given me the confidence to come and do it. I just want to do the best I can do for her and for me. I don’t want to feel like I’ve let her down or myself so I’m just trying to focus."

Jade sings I Won’t Give Up – Jason Mraz; but she forgets her lines and pauses, apologizing to the judges, but regains herself and finishes the song

"There was something not right there," Gary comments.

Tulisa agrees: "Yeah, that wasn’t her at her best"

Offstage and a disappointed Jade reacts: "I just had a complete brain freeze. I just lost the words I feel gutted, I’m absolutely gutted. I didn’t do the best I can do so I’ve just let myself down 100% but I am hoping that I might get another chance, I don’t want it to end."

The X Factor airs at 7:10PM tonight on ITV1.
