Speaking before his audition, Chimney Sweep Kye says: "I just want to do it, I just want to get out there. I’ve been working so hard for 10 – 15 years and I just need a break- I need a break its’ unbelievable.
"I mean my lucks been awful. So even getting through that first stage, it’s like ‘oh finally is something going to go my way?’."
Kye adds: "I want to get out there and go for it like it’s the last thing you’ll ever do and regardless of whatever happens with this now just I have to absolutely smash it, I have to, I have to.
On stage and Kye tells the judges: "there has never been a Kye yet and I don’t think there are any other big male new singers in Britain. The girls are smashing it, you’ve got Adele and Emeli Sande and there’s no guys singing big songs so I’d like to fill that gap."
After singing and receiving a standing ovation, Kye tells the panel: "I feel speechless. I meant every word of that song, I felt it. it just means everything, I just need a break."
"He is amazing," Tulisa says as Kye leaves the stage. "He told a story, I was there with him"
Louis adds: "It was faultless. He’s become the one to watch now"
Nicole agreed: "I watched him and I believed every word he was saying right now, that’s why we were captivated and we stuck with him"
