X Factor's Amelia Lily beating Tulisa in singles chart battle

X Factor 2012 live tour o2 Amelia lily

X Factor star Amelia Lily is set to score a number one track this week with her debut single.

The 18-year-old released You Bring Me Joy at the weekend, and has sold just under 30,000 copies up until Monday night according to the first set of midweeks released today.

The song, produced by Girls Aloud hitmakers Xenomania, is the first to be taken from Amelia's upcoming debut album.

Despite finishing third in the show last year - and having originally been booted out in the first live show - Amelia is set to eclipse runner up Marcus Collins who struggled with his debut effort earlier this year.

And in a twist, Amelia has found herself in a chart battle with X Factor judge Tulisa.

The N-Dubz star's new single Live It Up is also out this week, however it's not going to be fighting for number one like its predecessor Young, with midweek data playing it in only the Top 20.

Live It Up is the second track from Tulisa's own debut solo album, due out later this year.

Meanwhile in the albums chart, [cat]The Voice UK[/cat] coach Danny O'Donoghue is currently at number two with The Script with their new album Number Three.
