MK1 made the X Factor 2012 bootcamp tonight... but lost a member in the process.

The group started their audition in London tonight as a trio - Will, 27, Charlie, 19 and Sim 24 - on stage.

They told the judges they wanted to be as big as N-Dubz before performing a mash up of Tinie Tempah's Written In The Stars.

After the performance, the panel weren't convinced the group was working.

Tulisa told them: "Okay, do you want the good news or bad news? The good news is, that's rap... but you're either going to have to become a duo or find another member.

"I need to understand what your involvement is in the band [Will]. I can't hear her [Charlie]'s beautiful voice. It stopped me from enjoying the song."

Nicole agreed: "Some of your notes are flat, Will, you need to be able to match Charlie."

"You look the band's accountant who has come on stage for a song," said Gary to WIll. "You should not be on stage with the band."

Charlie said: "We see ourselves as equal team members."

"I want you to take some time and think about what you want to do," Tulisa advised the trio.

After a quick chat, Sim revealed: "We've made a decision."

"MK1 will go forward as a two," said Will.

"That's a very brave thing for you to do," Tulisa said, before giving the now duo a yes.
