X Factor hopeful Jake Quickenden has spoken about his whirlwind rise to fame after appearing on the show earlier this month.
The 24-year-old performed Use Somebody by the Kings Of Leon for the judges when auditions hit Manchester two weeks ago.
Tulisa told him: "Jake, the lifeguard, I’m quite excited by that audition and the ladies seem to absolutely love you"
While Gary Barlow raved: "Jake I thought that was great, I love your voice, I love your image, I thought it was a great song choice for your audition today, you were fantastic well done."
Speaking about the reaction from the public, Jake said this month: "I am enjoying every step of the way but for me, it is all about music, getting my music out and, hopefully, getting a music career.
"People are asking how does it feel to be a celebrity but I am just a normal guy.
"All I have done is had a five-minute clip on The X Factor.
"But some of the comments are so nice and everybody has been class about everything."
Speaking to local newspaper This Is Scunthorpe, the hunky lifeguard revealed: "I haven't had time to breathe. All I have done is tweet people back who are being nice to me, talk to other people and I have not stopped smiling.
"I went to a concert in Lincoln on Sunday night and people were asking me for photos straight away.
"It is blowing me away that people are recognising me."
The X Factor 2012 auditions conclude this Saturday and Sunday on ITV1.
