Modest! Management have been dropped by The X Factor as the management company for this year's acts.

Modest have had an exclusive contract on all acts who made the live shows since 2006, but they will now be replaced by Quest Management, Music Week reports this month.

It follows two separate lawsuits between Modest and former X Factor acts, Stacey Solomon and Rebecca Ferguson.

In court papers filed in London by Modest against Rebecca this week, it was revealed that the company had signed the Liverpudlian singer to a five year deal in October 2010, some two months before the show's final.

They claim Rebecca owes them a percentage of future profits after breaking the contract earlier this year.

Modest will still manage previous X Factor acts on their books including One Direction, Leona Lewis, JLS, Olly Murs and Little Mix.

However as well as both Stacey and Rebecca, Cher Lloyd and Alexandra Burke have also parted ways from the management team.

Quest management, who include the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and Arcade Fire as clients, will take over from October.
