X Factor singing sensation Melanie Masson has confessed she was 'too scared' to audition for the show before now.
The 44-year-old was seen wowing the judges with a performance of Cry Baby by Janis Joplin on last night's latest audition episode.
Gary Barlow raved: "Melanie that was insane, oh my god that voice, you were guiding us through the song. It was amazing, it really was."
Louis Walsh added: "Melanie where did that voice come from and where has it been? You’re 44, this is what this show is all about, finding somebody as amazing as you and giving them a chance."
Speaking to Olly Murs on the Xtra Factor yesterday, Melanie confessed she had been "so scared" from singing in front of so many people.
"I've always wanted to sing, I've been singing since the age of four," she said. "But I've been so scared for so long."
Recalling her time in front of the judges at auditions in Glasgow, Melanie told Olly: "When I started singing I was really enjoying it and I almost forgot the situation I was in."
