Melanie Masson could be set to give the best ever audition on The X Factor 2012 this series.
The 44-year-old from North London originally comes from Glasgow, and sings for the judges as auditions move to Scotland.
The 'full time mum' says on tonight's latest show: "Children in my local area know me as fairy flutterbye, not many people call me Melanie, usually people call me fairy.
"I started singing in bands from the age of 15. I used to sing all over Glasgow, then I had two wonderful children who are my absolute life but I still have dreams that I’ve yet to fulfil."
Melanie adds: "Music is the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do but I feel it’s kind of make or break now. I’m going to sing today like it’s the last time I’m ever going to sing."
On stage and Melanie performs Cry Baby by Janis Joplin to rave reviews.
" Melanie that was insane, oh my god that voice, you were guiding us through the song. It was amazing, it really was," gushed Gary Barlow.
Louis added: "Melanie where did that voice come from and where has it been? You’re 44, this is what this show is all about, finding somebody as amazing as you and giving them a chance."
Guest judge Anastacia commented: "I completely can’t believe that you killed it like that. It is never too late to have a record deal girl!"
