One Direction tour

The likes of One Direction, The Wanted and Robbie Williams are being lined up for performances on The X Factor live shows this year.

Showing all the imagination of Louis Walsh's comments to contestants, bosses are also said to be after JLS, Leona Lewis, Rebecca Ferguson and Little Mix to sing on the show.

Xtra Factor host Olly Murs, X Factor judge Tulisa and guest judge Rita Ora are all also tipped to sing their new tracks.

And Emeli Sande will no doubt be showing up too.

It's been claimed that this year's results shows could see as many as three guest performers taking to the stage every week in a bid to boost viewing figures for the Sunday night shows.

Some rumours have even linked Girls Aloud to the live finals later this year.

A supposed source told Celebritan: "The X Factor has shaped the way the music industry works in this country.

"There's a reason why all of these artists wait until the winter months to release their new albums and it's because of the X effect."

The insider added: "They know that performing infront of twelve million viewers or more guarentees great sales. It's as simple as that [sic]".

The X Factor live shows will start on ITV1 in October.
