Which contestants stood out for you from Saturday’s show?
With two fellow Spice Girls, Geri Halliwell and Mel B, as guest judges, it seems like the year to do it.
Mel C said: "It’s about time they had a Spice Girls themed week for the Live Shows.
"As we’ve seen with Kye and James; it’s possible to deconstruct a song and make it your own. I’d love to see our songs performed on the show."
Speaking about the latest audition show on Saturday night, the popstar revealed: "My absolute favourite was [tag]James Arthur[/tag] – he’s a natural performer and reminds me of Plan B. He’s so soulful and has channelled his difficult life experiences into his music; you can hear the pain in his voice. I was totally lost in his performance."
In an interview with the official ITV1 X Factor website, Mel C also praised the "eloquent" [tag]Lucy Spraggan[/tag].
She said: "Lucy was intelligent and eloquent. If she gets through, I’ll look forward to watching her grow. It’s great that contestants are allowed to bring their own instruments and music this year – we’re seeing true artistry."
