X Factor Nicole Scherzinger found herself angering locals in Dubai this week as she kicked off filming for judges' houses.
The Pussycat Doll singer spend 90 minutes filming a 30 second clip of her arriving by boat at a posh, five star hotel.
But it meant that other boat owners were banned from the area and being allowed to dock at the port until filming was complete.
“Several of the hotel’s residents were kept waiting for more than an hour while they were trying to get back to their five-star suites after an afternoon jaunt," a source told the newspaper today. “They weren’t happy – these fantastically rich people are not used to being told they can’t do what they want.
“But filming such an ambitious entrance takes a long time and the hotel were more than happy for The X Factor to take over the jetty and the harbour until they had everything they needed.”
But the insider added: “It was a hell of an entrance – it’ll be TV gold when it’s eventually shown.”
Nicole is in Dubai along with US star Ne-Yo to whittle down the acts in her category for the live shows.
The judges' houses will continued to be filming over the next few weeks.
[tag]Gary Barlow[/tag] is set to stay in London and will be joined with Robbie Williams to decide which acts in his category make the live shows.
[tag]Louis Walsh[/tag] will join forces with Sharon Osbourne in Las Vegas while [tag]Tulisa Contostavlos[/tag] will visit St Lucia with UK star Tinie Tempah.
This year twelve acts will make it through to the final live shows, which are due to start in October.
The X Factor continues next Saturday night on ITV1. The judges' houses section will air next month.
