The singer was a guest judge on the series this year but bosses are reportedly hoping to sign her up full time for next year's panel.
Mel B had been the "first choice" to join the show this year, but had already signed up to judge on the Australian X Factor for a second series.
Mel told the Daily Star Sunday about her future plans for both shows: “I am not ruling anything in or out.”
A source told the newspaper yesterday: “Mel was a big talking point on X Factor this year because she is very honest.
"She loves Australia but the UK is her home and she’s not ruling out a return. Spice Girls fans may just be in for a real treat.”
The newspaper reports that producers are already keen to refresh the panel after viewers failed to take to new judge Nicole.
“Mel has got commitments in Oz but after that all bets are off," the source said. "She’s feistier and more opinionated than Nicole and producers loved her. She’s also incredibly sexy. Watch this space.”
We certainly agree, with Mel B being a breath of fresh air on the panel at auditions in Manchester.
Her comments were a lot more interesting and honest than Nicole's insipid remarks about being "inspired" by contestants "sat" on the stage.
