Rylan Clark wants to win X Factor to get back at school bullies

Rylan Clark (X Factor 2012)

Controversial X Factor singer Rylan Clark has said he hopes to win the show to get back at school bullies.

Speaking to the press about his audition, which aired on last night's show, Rylan told how he became obsessed about his looks after finding himself targeted for being “fat, ginger and gay”.

The 23-year-old scraped through to bootcamp on last night's show after a rather dodgy performance, with the judges admitted he needed to work on his vocals.

But rather than discuss the music, Rylan told the Daily Star Sunday how he was bullied in school and left for dead after one vicious assault.

He said: “The bullying was quite bad. There was this playground that I used to go to after school and I got pulled off a rope swing and some boy kicked me in the head and fractured my skull.

“It was homophobic bullying.”

Rylan admitted that was "obsessed" with his image, explaining: “I won’t stop until I am the perfect man. I’m not obsessed with surgery but I’m obsessed with looking the best that I can.

“I’m more on the way to what I want to look like.”

The X Factor isn't Rylan's first time on the telly, having previously appeared in a vareity of reality shows including Sky 1's Ibiza Uncovered and Sky Living's Signed By Katie Price.

And Rylan claimed that Katie would be supporting him all the way if he made it through to the live shows.
