Sharon Osburne is to join Louis Walsh at X Factor's judges' houses this year in place of Sinitta.
It will be the first time that Sinitta hasn't appeared on the show, having sat alongside Simon Cowell and then Louis Walsh last year.
According to the Daily Mail, Sinitta was dumped after refusing to sign a confidentiality agreement about the show.
"Sinitta is extremely disappointed because she felt she would always be a central part of the show after so many years," a source claimed. "However, she wasn’t prepared to sign away her rights to speak to anyone about the show — which is what she was expected to do."
The source suggested: "The producers know Sinitta will always tell it like it is and with all the criticism of the show at the moment, regarding the manipulation of contestants, they didn’t want to take any chances. But it feels like extreme paranoia."
However a spokesperson for The X Factor insisted that Sinitta was NEVER even approached to be a mentor at judges' houses.
He commented on the story: "There were never any plans for Sinitta to be a mentor this year and she was not approached."
The X Factor judges' houses begin filming next week and will air in September.
