X Factor star Ella Henderson has admitted to being "overwhelmed" by the reaction to her audition.
The 16-year-old appeared on Saturday night's opening audition show, with millions of viewers watching her performance.
Ella sung her own track to the panel, something which she admitted was a "risk".
“It was nerve racking on the day – I had to keep myself in a zone and in my own bubble," she revealed. "I was really nervous about what Mel B would say to me.
Ella, who performed her self-penned track 'Missed' for the panel, said: “I was nervous singing my own song, but I wanted to get it out there.
“I also wanted to sing it because I’m a big fan of Gary Barlow and he writes his own songs.”
The singer has seen a huge positive reaction online, with fans covering the track on YouTube and begging for it to be put up for download.
The schoolgirl, who has just finished her GCSEs, added: "The whole thing has been overwhelming and the reaction from the audience was unexpected.
“I am trying to find a way to accept the unbelievable compliments from the judges.”
The X Factor continues on Saturday night on ITV1.
