X Factor star Jahmene Douglas is the 'hottest favourite' in history after his audition aired at the weekend.
Bookies William Hill have slashed the price of Jahmene winning the [cat]X Factor 2012[/cat], from an original 7/1 to 9/2. Jahmene is now the shortest price favourite following the opening night.
“Jahmene has defiantly gone viral and his wow factor is getting him support from around the country. We may well have already seen the winner,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
The X Factor opening night proved to be a real cracker and the betting suggest that we already have two real contenders for the X Factor Crown. Ella Henderson is the best backed contestant so far and the talented 16 year old is a 6/1.
“The X Factor is as much about the journey as the actual singing and both Ella & Jahmene have great stories to tell. We would not be surprised if we have already seen the winner,” Adams added.
Despite bombing in the states, Nicole Scherzinger impressed as Judge number four and Hills make her their favourite to be winning mentor.
Meanwhile the bookies revealed that they expected viewers to bet £1.5 million on the upcoming series, with over £7 million being bet between now and December through all bookmakers.
