X Factor 2012 judge Nicole Scherzinger has said she's hoping to find an act to have as much success as One Direction.
The American singer said she was hoping to find an international star from one of the contestants in her category.
Nicole was a guest judge for The X Factor back in 2010, and helped form One Direction at bootcamp.
Speaking at yesterday's press conference she joked: "Those little buggers! I haven't received flowers from them. I'm still waiting!"
And the former Pussycat Doll explained: "It has been crazy to see how massive they are in the US.
"Just yesterday I was remembering how we put those guys together. It's an incredible feeling to feel like you were part of something like that at the very beginning."
Nicole has joined the UK programme after getting the axe from the US series, but insisted the two shows were completely different.
"It's a well-oiled machine in the UK and last year was the first year in the US and that played into it for Simon, me and everyone involved," she said. "Here it is far more laidback and there's more characters involved."
The brunette beauty explained: "Typically in the US we have big diva singers like Whitney [Houston] and Mariah [Carey]. Over here, there's more wit, storytelling and folk-y style music. There's more character and tone to the singers."
