Gary Barlow has revealed Mel B was his favourite guest judge, although he's still "really pleased" Nicole Scherzinger has joined the panel!
This year's X Factor auditions saw a range of stars join Gary, Tulisa and Louis Walsh on the panel as bosses searched for a replacement for Kelly Rowland.
On the guest panelists, Gary said: "Mel B was great and she had a few one liners...I think her finest moment was when an elderly contestant was on stage and her critique was ‘Nooooo...just Nooo’ [Gary in Leeds accent]."
Mel meanwhile said of her experience with the other judges: "Completely full on crazy fun! They were all great to work with. We had a lot of laughs, on and off camera and my cheeks hurt at one point I was laughing so hard."
But despite Gary's praise, it was Nicole who got the full time job.
"She’s amazing – she feels like a Hollywood star," gushed Gary. "With all her experience in the industry and as a Judge on the US X Factor she has definitely earned her place on this."
The Take That front man also dismissed any pressure from The Voice UK.
"I think if there was any pressure it’s been dealt with as the talent we have seen this year has been unbelievable," he said.
The manband singer explained: "I‘m so pleased as that was my one complaint of last year - I thought we were missing four or five better singers in our final 12. But this year is going to be amazing and the first live show is going to be unbelievable. We have all different types of singers as well so it’s going to be hard for viewers to choose who to vote for."
The X Factor 2012 starts this Saturday night on ITV1.
