Songs by Rihanna, Etta James and Adele were amongst the most performed at this year's X Factor auditions.
Over 500 acts went before the judges during the audition tour, which will begin airing episodes from Saturday night.
‘We Found Love’ by Rihanna was the most popular song choice for this year’s contestants closely followed by ‘At Last’ by Etta James. Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Adele songs were also popular choices by the budding performers.
This year the judges were faced with rafts of poor excuses, including the usual sore throats to "I haven’t had time to learn the words" and "My microphone was too loud"
Tulisa was the recipient of the most red roses on the tour - a number of male admirers asked her for a kiss as well.
Meanwhile during the Manchester auditions Gary was asked to reveal the sex of a pregnant audience member’s baby to her mother and she was delighted to learn she’d be welcoming a granddaughter in a few months!
Also in Manchester, Gary and Louis joined a contestant who is a Zumba instructor on stage and she showed them a couple of her signature moves! Both gents limbered up and “shimmied” to the sound of Earthquake by Labrinth with the audience cheering them on before they returned to the Judges desk.
It's set to be a great series!
The X Factor kicks off on Saturday night on ITV1.
