The Voice UK: Danny O'Donoghue will miss Jessie J on the show

Danny O'Donoghue (The Voice UK)

The Voice UK coach Danny O'Donoghue has admitted he'll miss Jessie J on the panel next year.

Danny has seemingly confirmed that Jessie will not be returning to the show next year.

But he insisted her exit was nothing to do with her reported "diva" behaviour backstage.

“She wasn’t a diva at all," Danny told The People today. "I have never seen her throw tantrums.

“Jessie is incredibly articulate and she’s headstrong. That sometimes can be misconstrued as being too arrogant.

“But she’s a brilliant role model for young women."

He added: "I’m really sad she’s not coming back. We have a great friendship.”

Danny previously revealed that he and Will.i.am were due to return to the panel next year.

Auditions for the second series of The Voice UK take place in the autumn.

On the show’s future he said: “I’d love to go back. I was talking to Will last week and we will definitely both be back on The Voice next series.”

Danny denied a romance with finalist Bo Bruce, 27. He said of the rumour: “Everybody kind of bought into it but no, there’s nothing behind it.

“I’m back in touch with a girl I was seeing before I was in The Script. We’ve been texting. Watch this space.
